Larkin Aquatics designed this 25-yard by 25-meter indoor pool for competition, instruction, and access for persons with disabilities. Competitive facilities include ten 25-yard lanes, eight 25-meter lanes, and two 1-meter springboards. Deck widths range from 15 to 18 feet to accommodate classes, training and competition staging.
Access for residents with disabilities is provided by the installation of a deck ramp near the shallow end of the pool. A therapy area at the ramp base connects to the pool with a three-foot-wide opening and includes an underwater seat and therapy jets for addition of heated water. Separate controls allow the pool operator to heat the therapy area water several degrees warmer than the pool water.
Special features include timing system, dehumidification equipment and sodium hypochlorite disinfection.
