BRANSON RECPLEX

Branson, Missouri

Larkin Aquatics teamed with Sapp Design Associates to develop a new recreation and aquatics complex for Branson, Missouri. The 35 acre site development includes a state-of-the-art recreation center, an outdoor aquatic center, playground and picnic areas, baseball and soccer fields, and a system of walking trails.

The aquatic center was designed with a variety of user groups in mind. The main pool area provides a 25 yard competition pool and a diving well. Adjacent to the lap pool is the plunge pool area dedicated to one open flume and one closed flume waterslide spiraling to the pool from the 35 foot high slide tower. The leisure area, connected to the main pool by a narrow channel, offers zero-depth entry, a themed toddler slide, an extravagant shallow water play structure, themed floatables, and an underwater bench seat complete with therapy jets. A small deck sprayground area is positioned at the water's edge at the zero-depth area. The pool deck provides ample room and numerous shade structures where patrons can take a break from the sun. The deck layout also includes several shaded pavilions which can be rented for birthday parties or family gatherings.

This project site is served by a new elevated water tank which also was designed by Larkin.
