Outdoor Family Aquatic Center
Manly, Iowa
Larkin Aquatics was hired by the City of Manly to provide planning, design, and construction administration services for a new outdoor family aquatic center. Larkin worked closely with the City staff and Council Members to develop a design concept to meet the needs of the community within the specified project budget.
the 3,238 square foot pool includes zero-depth entry, a diving well, water-aerobics area, water basketball, floatables, shallow water seating, and several spray features. The pool design also includes an open-flume waterslide, for which the City of Manly received a grant from the State of Iowa to help fund.
A new bathhouse and filter building area are also included in this design. The new pool will be positioned on a site adjacent to a new community residential development including baseball fields and a playground. Project was completed Spring of 2008.
