REPLACEMENT POOL IN MURPHY PARK

Springdale, Arkansas

The old Murphy Park pool was demolished in 1998. Shortly after demolition, Larkin Aquatics was selected to design a replacement pool. The project site is shared with an adjacent community center, library, playground and open park space. The outdoor pool was intended to complement the Jones Center indoor pool, which is located at another site. The design goal was to provide a diverse grouping of aquatic features to serve the growing community for several decades. The design includes both recreational and competitive areas as well as concessions, and beautiful modern bathhouse.

• Preliminary planning

• Pool design, both recreational and competitive
