INDOOR THERAPY POOL
Village Shalom Continuing Care Campus
Overland Park, Kansas
Larkin Aquatics worked with Nelson Tremain Partnership on this indoor therapy pool. The facility was designed for use by senior citizens. Larkin determined the most appropriate construction materials and water treatment systems to best suit the pool patrons.
Special consideration to the water treatment system was necessary in order to minimize the harshness of the chemicals on users with sensitive-skin. For this reason, an ozone system was designed as an aid in the disinfection process, minimizing the amount of chemicals needed for treatment.
In addition, the facility includes an underwater treadmill and a pool access lift. The facility opened in the summer of 2000.
